New Year’s Digest of Good Deeds: Annual Summary from the Step with Hope International Charitable Foundation #46

The year coming to an end was filled with challenges, but also numerous victories achieved together with you. This year proved how teamwork and humanity can overcome difficulties. In this digest, we share the key highlights of our activities in 2024 across core directions, including special initiatives in Kherson, spring seed distribution, and autumn firewood provision.

1. Support for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)

  • Distributed over 20,000 food kits to support families in need.
  • Provided temporary shelter to more than 500 people, including women, children, and the elderly.
  • Held informational meetings and consultations to help IDPs adapt to new living conditions.

2. Aid for Kherson Residents

  • Organized the delivery of humanitarian aid to Kherson and nearby villages, providing food, water, medicine, and hygiene supplies to thousands of residents.
  • Assisted people whose homes were flooded after the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station, supplying resources for household recovery and water purification.
  • Offered targeted aid to the elderly and families with children in remote villages of Kherson region who required special support.

3. Spring Campaign: Seedling Assistance

  • Distributed vegetable seedlings and seeds to more than 5,000 families in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, and other regions.
  • Conducted educational sessions for rural community members, providing tips on growing their own crops.
  • Thanks to this initiative, hundreds of families managed to secure food supplies and generate additional income.

4. Autumn Support: Firewood Provision

  • Supplied firewood for home heating to over 800 families.
  • Established logistics to deliver firewood to hard-to-reach areas, particularly in Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv regions.
  • Helped the elderly and large families prepare for winter by distributing warm blankets and clothing.

5. Humanitarian Aid and Care for People in Critical Conditions

  • Distributed over 10,000 packages containing food, hygiene products, and seeds.
  • Delivered targeted aid to people with serious illnesses and ensured medicine delivery.
  • Specifically in frontline villages in Kherson region, visited over 200 elderly residents, providing food, medicine, and psychological support.

6. Psychological and Physical Support

  • Held more than 1,200 individual consultations with psychologists for those affected by the war.
  • Organized free massage sessions for people dealing with chronic stress and physical problems.
  • Helped over 500 people regain their vision by providing glasses and medical assistance.

7. Partnerships: Joining Efforts for a Common Goal

  • Launched new programs addressing the needs of the most vulnerable groups, including families with children and people with disabilities.
  • Supplied conflict-affected regions with additional resources, from humanitarian aid shipments to mobile medical units.
  • Coordinated joint initiatives with other foundations, enabling more effective responses to urgent needs in frontline areas.

8. Critical Conditions: Helping Where It’s Needed Most

  • In frontline communities suffering from daily shelling, we not only delivered humanitarian aid but also helped restore basic living conditions.
  • People who lost their homes due to missile strikes received emergency assistance packages, including food, warm clothing, blankets, and essential supplies.
  • Continued responding to natural and man-made disasters, assisting those affected, particularly during floods in the Kherson region.

The year 2024 was challenging, but thanks to your support, we implemented hundreds of initiatives that improved the lives of many. In 2025, we plan to expand our activities, especially in the most remote and heavily impacted communities.

We sincerely thank every volunteer, donor, partner, and individual who supported us this year. Together, we are bringing closer the time when goodness and peace reign in every corner of Ukraine.
