A Helping Hand Digest #41

Heartfelt Gratitude to Ukraine TrustChain for Your Support!

Thanks to your assistance, we successfully provided firewood to 66 households in the liberated villages of the Kharkiv region: Borova, Oskil, and Spivakivka.

Borova (Right Bank of Oskil River):

44 households received aid. Following evacuations from the left bank of the Oskil River, people have been forced to live in abandoned homes, often without the resources necessary to prepare for winter. This area remains near the front lines, complicating delivery logistics, but we managed to complete this mission successfully.

Oskil:

22 additional households received support.

Spivakivka (Izyum District):

22 households received firewood in this liberated settlement, where many buildings have been destroyed and internally displaced people now reside.

Total Delivered:
🌲 132 cubic meters of firewood (92.4 tons).

We especially appreciate the opportunity to support the most vulnerable groups: elderly pensioners living alone, families with children, and individuals with disabilities. This aid was timely, as cold weather has already set in, and obtaining firewood locally is impossible due to mined areas.

Despite challenging conditions, steep terrain, and even equipment breakdowns, we successfully completed this critical mission.

Thank you for your care and for supporting those who need it most. Together, we are making the world a warmer place—literally and figuratively!

Sincere Thanks to Ukraine TrustChain for Rapid Response in Kherson!

Last week, your support enabled us to tackle several urgent tasks in Kherson, providing relief for local residents and our military personnel:

🔸 17 generators were refueled, providing light and heat where it is needed most.
🔸 23 premises, including a humanitarian center and a kindergarten, underwent deratization.
🔸 A generator damaged during shelling was repaired.

We want to highlight an incredible story of collaboration with Ms. Viktoria. Her team bakes bread for the military, weaves camouflage nets, and supports local residents. Thanks to your help, we were able to urgently assist them with deratization, as a rat infestation was causing significant issues.

Ms. Viktoria expressed her gratitude for your assistance, which allows her team to continue their vital work for both defenders and the community.

Thank you for helping us overcome challenges and support those who need it most. Your aid is a tangible contribution to our fight for the future!

Heartfelt Thanks to Everyone Who Cares About People on the Frontline!

From November 22 to 24, we visited Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, Mykolaivka, Druzhkivka, and Kostyantynivka in the Donetsk region to deliver humanitarian aid.

🚧 The journey was difficult and dangerous. Defensive operations are intensifying in the region, communication is often completely cut off, and shelling continues. The situation in Kostyantynivka and Pokrovsk is particularly dire, with increased attacks on civilians.

🤝 Despite this, we delivered aid to those who need it most, including:
• People with disabilities, pensioners, and large families.
• Victims of shelling left without essential supplies.
• Children, who received both humanitarian and psychological support.

🌟 Special thanks to everyone who helps us supply family clinics with essential humanitarian kits. The heartfelt gratitude of the locals reminds us how important it is to continue our collective mission.

🚛 Roads are worsening, shelling is increasing, and weather conditions add further challenges. Yet, we persist in reaching those who await us.

🙏 Thank you to everyone supporting this mission. Your compassion and support give us the strength to help those on the front lines of life. Together, we bring not just aid but hope for a better future.

Last week, the Kharkiv region came together once again to assist those in need.

🌾 Znamianka. Ms. Raisa, a 67-year-old pensioner displaced by the war, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the fresh, delicious bread delivered every Wednesday. “Thank you so much for the help! I wish good health to all the foundation’s workers,” she shares with warm words of appreciation.

❤️ Krasnohrad

Ms. Valentyna, a retired woman with a disability who cares for her husband recovering from a heart attack, also receives bread. Her gratitude is simple yet heartfelt: “Thank you so much for your support!”

🏘️ Pervomaiskyi

The local community notes a stable situation, but the number of people in need is gradually growing. Residents inquire about additional assistance and express thanks for the help already provided.

🎭 Kharkiv and Region

In Kamianska Yaruha, Mala Danylivka, and other settlements, the absence of shelling has allowed residents to take a small breath of relief. Volunteers actively supported locals by delivering bread to elderly individuals, people with disabilities, and low-income families in the Novo-Zhanovo area.

🌈 Workshops and Support

For children and teenagers, a workshop titled “Anti-Stress: Slime” was held, where they created bright and positive toys. Remarkably, none of the participants chose dark colors—an uplifting sign of optimism.

🤝 Special gatherings for people with disabilities included learning to bake pies with various fillings. These warm and heartfelt events highlight the importance of coming together, even during the most challenging times.

Community Needs

People are requesting adult diapers, cleaning supplies, and rechargeable flashlights in preparation for potential blackouts.

“Thank you for your care, delicious bread, and ongoing support!” These words from the residents of the Kharkiv region warm the hearts of everyone involved in this shared mission. Each week brings us one step closer to unity and helping those in need.

A Week of Assistance in Dnipropetrovsk Region: Challenges, Hard Work, and Gratitude

Last week, our team continued efforts at the aid center in Nikopol, focusing primarily on distributing drinking water, which is in high demand. Additionally, we shared leftover sweets—small joys in difficult times.

🌆 Nikopol and Marhanets

By midday, we reached Marhanets, where we began meeting with residents earlier than planned due to local requests. The city was shrouded in darkness due to the lack of lighting, and strong winds and rain forced people to seek shelter indoors. Among those who came were both newcomers and familiar faces—some seeking assistance, others simply looking for support.

🚧 Road and Weather Challenges

Travel is becoming increasingly difficult due to worsening weather and poor road conditions. Large puddles hide deep potholes, and frequent power outages complicate planning. At times, we had to meet people outdoors, braving the cold.

🏘️ Trip to Myropil

Our visit to the village of Myropil was one of the most anticipated events of the week. We were welcomed by many residents, including numerous internally displaced families from Marhanets. Among them was a family with ten children who had been forced to flee their hometown due to constant shelling.

The journey to Myropil was grueling—two hours through puddles, potholes, and freezing temperatures. Residents waited for us in a small, overcrowded house to escape the cold outside. Despite the cramped conditions, everyone was grateful for the attention and aid.

This week once again reminded us of the importance of helping those left without light, heat, and the basic comforts of life. The hardships of travel and cold are outweighed by the heartfelt words of thanks from those awaiting our support.
