Path of Hope: Chronicles of Aid in Times of Trial
In every corner where explosions echo, people are waiting for support. Some need a piece of bread, others a warm word, and for some, the most crucial thing is simply knowing they are not alone in their suffering. Every week, our team travels hundreds of kilometers, bringing not only food, clothing, and medicine but also a touch of humanity.
This week became another chapter in our shared struggle. Despite danger, cold, and exhaustion, we remain where support is needed the most.
Kharkiv Region: Rebuilding After Destruction
Shelling in the Kharkiv region continues unabated. Enemy attacks once again destroyed a local hospital, leaving hundreds without medical care. The administration reached out to us for help—and we responded. The plastic sheeting we provided to cover damaged walls and ceilings became a temporary lifeline for the hospital. Thanks to our team’s swift action, the newly repaired facility began receiving patients within a day.
Beyond the hospital, we also supplied plastic sheeting to repair a damaged dormitory in Kharkiv, home to displaced persons. Every piece of material we deliver means another night of warmth and safety for those affected.
Vehicles That Deliver Hope
Our vehicles are more than just transportation. They are lifelines. Through them, we deliver food, water, medicine, and fuel. This week, thanks to our partners, we were able to repair several essential vehicles:
- Mercedes – the primary transport in the Nikopol district, where the situation remains critical. We replaced the suspension, brake pads, and rear axle. Now, it is back on the road.
- Amarok – a pickup truck that serves frontline villages in Kharkiv. It received new headlights, brake pads, and a full maintenance check.
- “Zhovtyk” (Yellow One) – Ford Transit – our workhorse for delivering aid to Dnipro, Nikopol, Pavlohrad, and Kryvyi Rih. We replaced the suspension and conducted a full inspection.
- Crafter – a heavy-duty van capable of carrying up to three tons of cargo. We performed brake maintenance, serviced the calipers, and installed winter tires.
Without these vehicles, our work would be impossible. Every day, they traverse dangerous routes to ensure aid reaches those in need.
Kherson Region: Surviving the Blackout
On February 17, Kherson trembled once more under heavy shelling. The strikes destroyed transformers, plunging an entire neighborhood into darkness. People reached out for generators and fuel—and we did not turn them away.
For these people, electricity is not just about comfort—it is survival. Without it, they are left in the cold, without heat or communication. Our team distributed several generators and supplied fuel to dozens of families.
Even in such conditions, life goes on. We provided children with warm clothes and sweets, supported the local coast guard, and even carried out an unusual mission—rescuing a cat. The pet’s owners had found shelter in Odesa, but their furry friend remained in a dangerous area. We retrieved the cat and reunited it with its family.
Donetsk Region: Islands of Care Amid War
We do more than deliver humanitarian aid—we create islands of care in the midst of war. This week, in Sloviansk and Mykolaivka, we organized a special project. Along with us, two massage therapists and two hairdressers arrived.
A stress-relief massage is not just a procedure; it is a touch of humanity. People who have spent months under constant shelling finally had a chance to relax. Over three days, more than 20 people received head, neck, and shoulder massages. Additionally, over 15 people received haircuts.
These small acts of kindness provide not only physical relief but also the reassurance that they are not forgotten.
Nikopol: The Struggle for Survival in the Gray Zone
For three years, Nikopol has endured daily shelling. No humanitarian missions operate here—except for us. We distribute drinking water, food, prescription glasses, and warm clothing.
One story stands out—the story of little Davyd. He cannot speak, but his eyes tell more than words ever could. Every time we arrive, it is an event for him. This week, we brought him food, toys, and new shoes.
Psychological Support: Healing Wounded Souls
Survival is about more than just food and clothing. We conduct psycho-social programs for children and adults in Kamianske, Nikopol, and Marhanets.
This week’s topics included:
- “The Power of Choice” – how to remain true to yourself in times of war.
- “Positive Thinking” – finding light even in the darkest times.
- A workshop called “Paw”, where children made soft toys with their own hands.
Stories of the People We Help
- Olena from Marhanets – a history teacher and widow. Her husband, a mobilized gym teacher, was killed in combat. Fighting back tears, she thanked us for our support.
- Ivan from Avdiivka – he resisted leaving, but relentless shelling forced him to flee his home. Now, he lives in Kamianske and receives aid from our foundation.
Hope That Unites Us
Every journey, every can of food delivered, every child’s smile—these are small victories against despair. We cannot stop the war, but we can make life a little easier.
This week, we distributed:
- 3,000 liters of drinking water
- 160 pairs of glasses
- 100 sets of bedding
- 30 boxes of powdered milk
- Aid for Davyd and dozens of other children
The Path of Hope Continues
In the darkest times, hope remains our most powerful weapon. As long as the war continues, so does our fight. We will be where it is hardest. Where others cannot reach. Where people are waiting.
Our strength is in unity. Our journey is the path of hope.
Together, we can do more.
Support Us!
Every donation—no matter how small—becomes bread, water, medicine, and warmth. Every share spreads awareness and increases the chances of helping another family.
Together, we bring victory closer.
