Each week, alongside other aid efforts, our foundation has the opportunity to provide vision support through eyeglasses distribution.
Vision problems are among the most common health concerns in Ukraine. Due to the challenges of daily life, many people postpone addressing them. However, worsening eyesight can lead to serious health complications, a lower quality of life, and limited opportunities.
For over two years, Step with Hope, in partnership with RestoringVision, has been implementing a vision support project across several regions, including Dnipro, Kharkiv, Donetsk (Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka), Kherson, Mykolaiv (Voznesensk), Odesa (Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi), Lutsk, and Kryvyi Rih district.
Glasses from RestoringVision are distributed through our aid centers, as well as during weekly trips to villages and small towns.
Due to poor infrastructure and remote locations, many residents cannot access an eye doctor or even order glasses by mail. That’s why our volunteers always bring a medical specialist along, ensuring people receive the best possible care.
