Psychological Support Groups: Overcoming Stress and Heartfelt Conversations Over a Cup of Tea

The war has changed the lives of each of us. We are all trying to cope with the challenges of today, survive, and restore what has been lost. But going through difficulties together is much easier than doing it alone.

That’s why we hold group meetings where you can receive support, learn to overcome stress, restore motivation, and gain confidence to move forward successfully.

Here are some of the topics we discuss:

Identifying your resource state
“First aid” techniques for replenishing resources
Secrets of overcoming stress and dealing with panic attacks
Developing emotional intelligence to increase stress resistance
Body therapy for calming the nervous system
“War as a Teacher” – reassessing values, finding new meanings, and more

We use current recovery techniques, coaching tools, and empathy.

Evenings of Hope: Conversations with a Chaplain

Meetings with a chaplain are a valuable resource for those seeking support, understanding, and help in various aspects of life.

Ethical and Moral Support

The chaplain provides consultations on ethical issues, helps make difficult decisions, and reflect on life values

Social Programs

Familiarize yourself with the programs we have prepared:

01

Positive Ukrainian

Learning a language is both interesting and beneficial for mental well-being, especially when it is the language of your native country.

Therefore, we invite everyone to study and improve their native language every Thursday at 3:15 PM. They are free for volunteers and internally displaced persons.

Interactive lessons are conducted by Olena Shkurko, Candidate of Philological Sciences, and Iryna Zhbrovets, a philologist, teacher-methodologist, and psychologist.

02

Anti-Stress English

Learning a foreign language has a therapeutic effect and is greatly beneficial for our psyche and brain development.

We hold meetings for those who want to improve their level of English, discuss interesting topics, and distract themselves from everyday worries.

The level of English proficiency can be any. We find an approach to everyone, even beginners. Meetings are conducted by Natalia Khoroshykh, a coach-trainer.

03

Healing Emotional Wounds, Overcoming Misfortune

We live in a world where conflicts, betrayals, violence, quarrels, divorces, crimes, etc., occur. In all this, our hearts feel pain and bleed inside. Often we do not know what to do with this pain – sometimes we just get used to it without finding the right “medicine.”

We invite you to our group, where you can stop and devote time to your heart. We will reflect, do practical exercises, share, listen to each other, turn to the Bible, and answer questions such as: If God loves us, why do we suffer? What is the source of suffering? What are heart wounds and how to heal them? How do people with wounded hearts behave? How can we forgive others? What is forgiveness?

04

Evenings of Communication

We regularly hold evenings of communication for adults. When we are together, life becomes filled with joy and hope.

We can play, sing, and share something interesting. Everyone is welcome! We are happy to see you all!

05

Positive Parenting

The characteristics of relationships between adults and children. The atmosphere of shared enthusiasm.
There are no incapable children.
Children’s needs and motives.
The impact of parents’ personalities on a child’s acquisition of moral norms.
Overprotectiveness. How are grandmothers dangerous?
And many more useful topics!

06

Art Therapy

Art therapy is communication without words, an opportunity to express yourself, self-discovery, understanding yourself, your emotions, your value, and uniqueness.

We invite you to group sessions to create something interesting, find yourself in a creative atmosphere, relax, express your emotions, and ease your experiences.

07

Women’s Club

Every woman has three components of her beauty. Physical beauty – related to appearance. Beauty in character, behavior, and style. And spiritual beauty – thoughts about oneself and others.

We can call a woman beautiful when all three components are present: beauty of the body, beauty of the soul, and beauty of thoughts.

We meet in our Women’s Club to pay attention to all these aspects of beauty.

You will find engaging, interactive meetings and interesting, useful communication.

08

Children’s Program

We invite you and your children to children’s activities in the playroom. We help children reduce stress levels and cope with emotional overload. Activities are conducted for different age groups:
— From 0 to 4 years – social adaptation
— Development of auditory perception, attention, memory, and speech
— For preschoolers from 4 to 7 years – activities to develop ingenuity, creativity, and a healthy, active lifestyle. Preparation for school.
— For children from 8 to 15 years – acting classes. Each child can express themselves. They learn to perform on stage, recite, and participate in plays and performances. We use games and art therapy.
